Remote access to the electronic resources of the Miner Library is currently available to all members of the University of Rochester Medical Center community. Access to the network is issued on an individual basis. Fill in this form as completely as possible since the omission of information may delay activation of your account. If you are a River Campus affiliate, then please use the other online form.
Affiliation with the University of Rochester Medical Center will be verified using the current Faculty/Staff/Student telephone directories. If you are not listed in these publications, you must confirm your status by presenting a current University ID card to the Miner Library Learning Center, or by mailing in a photocopy of your ID. If your ID does not confirm your status & affiliation, i.e., your ID says STAFF but you've checked STUDENT because you are using the account as a student, you will also need to include documents to verify your status, such as a completed tuition waiver, letter of appointment, etc. For more information on this, call 275-6944. Account activation will be completed within a week. If the account is needed sooner, a rush process is available by special request. Account procedures and information forms will be sent to the campus or home address that you specify.
The Digital Library is an integrated Web based menu that allows access to the Ovid databases, selected Internet and full-text resources such as Stat!-Ref, Harrison's Internal Medicine, SAM-CD, ROARing Cat, etc (full-text accessible by PC only). Requires an Internet connection and Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0

We will then mail you a confirmation letter that will include your login name and password for the Miner Network, and guide sheets for setting up your software to access the Network. Your account will be good for one year from the date it is issued.
In subscribing to the MINER Network through the Edward G. Miner Library, I agree to be responsible for the use of my password and understand that it is issued only for my personal use. In addition I understand that my account is valid for unlimited searching for one year from the date below or at the termination of my affiliation with the University of Rochester. The Edward G. Miner Library has the right to cancel my account for misuse of the system.
